Getting a game for free, even for a limited amount of time, is great news for an empty wallet gamer. The news can even blow sky high if we are talking about a huge triple A title that the industry has in store for us.

Star Citizen, from Robert Space Industries, might just be the biggest game ever... and it's not actually out yet. The game in question is aiming to be one of the biggest games ever, especially the biggest space adventure ever seen, but the ride hasn't been smooth.

Star Citizen started as a moderately ambitious project, all the way back in 2011, having an initial release date projected for 2014 or 2015. The game is already holding the record of the highest-funded crowdfunding projects with over $300 million as of June 2020.

The game is still in the development process, more likely being stuck in development hell. All these problems amount to some very high stakes being raised even more, and whatever "final product" is set, it's not going to be enough.

Even with all that in mind, all the materials presented to the public by RSI, shows a very beautiful game, with a great visual impact and an abundance of possible activities and paths for the players.

If the game will finally be launched, will definitely be a ground breaker, but for know the fans and the general public has to find some consolation in the early-access phase, which occasionally pulls out some gems, those gems being free access to the game.

As it happened before in recent years, Star Citizen will be available for a limited amount of time to all players for free, starting from 15 to 25 of February. The only catch here is that you will need a beast of a machine to run the game, considering how complex is at the moment. A little word of advice before you jump in, you will need to have some nerves of steel.

In order to play the game for free you will have to go to the official web page of the game made by Robert Space Industries, register and download their dedicated launcher. But things won't be smooth and you will need to follow their instructions carefully and have a lot of patience, as it took me two days, the last time this happened, in order to actually start the game, once I have completed all the processes and the launcher got to download and update very little corner of this game that was possible.
