The new Assassin's Creed game that will follow the adventures of the vikings, just had its world premiere trailer released, after it was officially announced yesterday in a live stream held by Ubisoft and illustrator Boss Logic.
The viking era is one of the most anticipated settings that the series could take on and the fans are exited. The world premiere trailer of the game looks amazing.
Since we are talking about an announcement trailer, there is no official gameplay being showcased, and of course there are no details on how this game will head within the bigger story line of the series.
The cinematic trailer shows the main protagonist in action, alongside his band of warriors, fighting on English soil. Since the vikings were know as travelers, conquerors and raiders, that aspect of their culture is very well showcased here.
In the background of the trailer we can hear the words of the English king, describing the vikings as a bunch of savages, while right in front of us, we see the vikings in action doing the exact opposite of what the king describes. It is clear that they are painted in a good light generally, but that is not the case with the king, because he needs a powerful motivation for his own army and for that he paints a very different picture.
The battle in the trailer does have an epic feeling about it, which is taken a step further by the presence of Odin through a raven flying over the battlefield, and of course the hidden blade reveal moment... which is no surprise since it's Assassin's Creed, but even so it is the most anticipated moment in any announcement of any game within the series.
