It just become official that Battlefield V has ran its course. EA's rival for the Call of duty series has dropped, long ago, its competitor's way of doing things and stopped the yearly calendar releases of new titles.

Battlefield V, the latest game in the series that focuses on World War II, was launched back in 2018, and until now kept its wheels running by adding content with continuous updates, including the battle royale mode, Firestorm.

Even if fans of the series, and of the game in particular, have been expecting more and more content from Battlefield V, EA and DICE have announce that the last update for the game will come in June, and after that the support for the live service game will be stopped.

This is bad news, considering the fact that the game was basing itself on adding content, fans won't get the chance to experience great moments of World War II like D-Day, Battle of the Bulge or Battle of Stalingrad.

Regarding the next step in the series, EA previously mentioned that the next Battlefield will come in the fiscal year 2022, which I know sounds a little confusing, but that means the game will surface beginning with April 2021.
