In the last few days, some tit bits of information started to go around about the new Elder Scrolls game. It might just be a very tiny update regarding the game, but since we don't have anything else to go on, by this point, this will have to be a huge deal right now.
The publisher Bethesda is focusing all their assets towards finishing production for Starfield, the first original RPG coming from the company in 25 years. It was announced at E3 2018 with a teaser trailer with absolutely nothing to show in 2019.
Following the way the game is developed, it becomes clear that Bethesda is trying to keep quite until things are ready to come out and also from their E3 presentations these past few years we can understand that these games that are in development right now, will, in fact, be ready for release on the next generations of consoles.
The rumors that Elder Scrolls VI might just began its development process, started with a job listing from Bethasda, the company looking to hire Gameplay Programmers for "a bleeding edge RPG for PC and consoles."
Also, in an interview with IGN, Bethesda's Todd Howard mentioned that the next game in the Elder Scrolls series will be a "game we need to design for people to play for a decade at least".
This declarations does make things interesting, considering the success of Skyrim, clearly the company will try to replicate it in their next game. It will be interesting to see what Bethesda had in store for the next adventure in Tamriel, noting that the last single player game in the series was released in 2011, which will make the current gap from one title to another to nice years. Even with the release of Elder Scrolls Online in the meanwhile, the gap is still huge, taking into account that we will have to wait even more for the sixth installment in the series.
