PS5's DualSense might become the best gaming controller

Breaking tradition, the new controller that is coming with the PS5 drops the 'shock' extension becoming DualSesne.

During the PS5 presentation event that Sony held on June 11, they showed up a couple of things about the new controller that they hope will become the best gaming input device.

The DualSense controller shows a brand new and slick design in two colors, black and white whit calm blue led illuminated sides of the touch pad. With the new design the surfaces of the buttons are also improved, Sony bringing a new texture grip on the back of the controller and the trigger buttons.

The old PS button that was round with just the logo on it, is replaced by a new button shaped like the PlayStation logo. Beyond this change, the controller will have a built-in microphone array with the option to mute the mic of you want, and also a jack connectivity port for headphones. One other addition will be the USB Type-C port that can be encountered on modern smartphones or other gaming devices like the Xbox Elite controller.

To improve game performance and sensation, the DualSense will have adaptive triggers that can offer different levels of resistance. This aspect will be felt especially in racing games with adaptive throttle and breaks, shooter games by having a different feel from a shotgun to an automatic rifle or games that feature a bow as a usable weapon where you can adapt the line tension through the triggers.

The biggest feature the controller will have will be the improved haptic feedback. It might sound fancy but it's simply refers to the rumble or vibration of the controller. The feedback from the rumble adds another layer of immersion to games and with improved haptic feedback Sony promises to offer "astonishing effects" that will make every surface feel different through the different rumble output of the controller. With all these features the new DualSens will sure be serious competition to Xbox Elite series 2 controller.
