Returnal the upcoming sci-fi adventure for the PS5

From the abundance of games announced at the PS5 reveal event, Returnal is on title that came out of nowhere and impressed right away.

The upcoming sci-fi adventure is a game set in space and in the trailer we see a woman descending on a strange planet that is full of terrifying dangers that are set to kill you in the game.

The main thing that seems to be the selling point of the game is one theme that is more and more recurrent recently and that is the Groundhog Day type of mechanic, where you repeat the same day or the same sequence of events over and over again.

The game also reminds me of Death Stranding, where Sam Bridges had the ability to come back to life after he would be kill by enemies in cataclysmic events that would reshape the world.

The resemblance between the to games comes up because once the main character gets to explore the the dangerous planet and if she dies she gets to go back doing all the exploration work all over again, but the trick is that everything is now different, just like it would be a totally different planet.

At this point very few details are known but the core element of the game does bring a lot of promise and it does make the game a much awaited one.
