After postponing the reveal several times for various reasons, starting in February up until now, Sony just showed their upcoming console, the new PS5, on June 11, in a digital live-stream presentation, which was very different from what we were used to, and with that they got a little closer to Nintendo's take with their Nintendo Direct.

The live-stream presentation was packed with games, even if it didn't really showcase much from the titles that were announced and also it didn't show the full potential of the new console, as Sony is still keeping a few things out of the public eye, the general response from the audience was overwhelmingly positive.

The presentation looked very impressive because besides the games and the console reveal the digital graphic transitions were top notch, so kudos to the graphics department in charge of that aspect.

When it comes to games the stream started with the announcement that GTA V, a 7 year old game, is coming to PS5, which will make this the third console generation that will host the game. The actual spotlight was stolen by some huge announcements that include a remake of the popular Demon's Souls, a new entry in their racing series with Gran Turismo 7, the much awaited sequel for Horizon Zero Dawn with Horizon Forbidden West, and of course the announcement of Spider-Man: Miles Morales.

The end revealed the much awaited PS5 which showed a very slick futuristic design. The console stand upwards like a tower with impressive black and white design and calm blue lights. Alongside the console the brand new DualSense controller was also showcased sharing the color design with the device. Since the industry showed a big movement towards digital in the last few years, Sony took this occasion to announce two different versions of the PS5, a physical disk PS5 with a disk slot and a digital version, which looks a lot better without the disk slot.

Even if there was no information about the specs and performance of the console, Sony did present additional hardware that they intend to sell alongside the new PS5 like and HD camera, a media remote, a Pulse 3D Wireless Headset and of course a DualSense charging station.

All in all, things looked impressive in Sony's presentation, even if there are still more things to be made public in order to understand and witness the true power of the console. You can take a look at the full reveal trailer of the PS5 right here:
