Following the reveal even of the new PlayStation 5, where Sony showed game after game, a lot of buzz was created around another title from Insomniac Games about your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.

One of the first games shown in the event was Spider-Man: Miles Morales. A lot of hype came around the game whit a lot of interested eyes, but not much was clear from just the announcement trailer, and following the video more confusion surrounded the game, so what is it actually?

The idea that this could be a sequel is pretty obvious since, the two games look very much the same and also in the Marvel's Spider-Man, while you follow Peter Parker as Spider-Man you are introduced to Miles Morales at one point in the story in a moment where he reveals to Peter that he also has spider-powers.

After more confusion was created by various statements of officials to the press, Insomniac Games clarified things on twitter. In an official post they said that the new adventure of Miles Morales is meant to show the power of the new PlayStation 5, and since they did not have the time to develop a full game they created this new adventure which is not a DLC add on but a standalone expansion instead. This means that players can own the game even if they don't own Marvel's Spider-Man and experience the sort of spin-off with Miles.
