The original Souls game that started it all is coming back

Among the numerous announcements made during Sony's reveal of the new PS5, one of the bigges bombshells was the return of the original Souls game that kick-started the rest of the spin-off and in turn creating a side genre.

Blupoint Studios, the developers behind the PS4 remake version of Shadow of the Colossus, are working hard to bring back to our devices, Demon's Souls. In this endeavor of theirs, they are helped by Japan Studios.

The studios stated clearly that the game is not a remaster, but a remake of the original, being build from the ground up and graphically enhanced.

The original Demon's Souls that emerged in 2009 is still regarded as one of the best games, being very well regarded by critics and fans. When it comes to the fans they see this game as a cult classic, and even if the Dark Souls series came after or other spin-off games like Bloodbourne or Sekiro, Demon's Souls still holds up a special place in the hearts of the most hardcore fans of the genre and the series.
