Even thought there are many companies within the gaming industry that have some pretty bad reputations attached to their names, they are still the ones bringing all the big games on our devices, one such company being Ubisoft.

Ubisoft's portfolio of AAA games includes franchises, like Assassin's Creed, Far Cry, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six, Tom Clancy's The Division, Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell, Watch Dogs, The Crew and many more. With critical acclaim or well deserved criticism, all the games that were part of these franchises made for some entertaining games for their target audiences.

Ubisoft is bringing now some bad news for everyone that is a fan of those franchises. The French company is aiming to change their business model and to focus more on mobile games and free-to-play games. The move is obvious, it will bring more cash on a constant basis through micro-transactions.

It has been reported by IGN, that in one of the latest board meetings at Ubisoft, the company is aiming to release at least 3 more AAA games for the fiscal 2022, which will cover the period from April 2021 to March 2022. After that, the French publisher doesn't want AAA games to be the focus of their business model.

The gaming industry seems to move in a sucky direction for the players, especially looking at what plans Ubisoft has for the future. Even if they will change their focus, there is still some good news, and that is that the company will not stop making AAA games. At least in such a situation we can have some hope that they will really spend quality time for the development of a game instead of rushing it out for the sake of making a buck for yearly releases.
